The Supervisors one-time decision to do so in our Township was done in complete accordance with both the spirit and the letter of the law. Second, the ARP legislation specifically provides that ARP funds may be used to provide “premium pay” to eligible employees. The ARP money, which is not part of the Township’s budget, will be completely transformative for all of us. The Township has become aware that some Township residents are objecting to the Supervisors decision to use a portion of the American Rescue Plan (“ARP”) funds it has received from the federal government to provide “premium pay” to its employees.įirst, ARP funds are designed to be transformative and to assist local government in providing pandemic related services to its residents. “The primary mission of Greene Township and its Supervisors is to serve the best interests of its residents. Greene Township Solicitor Gery Nietupski releasing a statement on behalf of the township, saying: There’s a lot of stuff in this township that money could have went to other than themselves,” Morschhauser said. I’m disappointed in the way they allocated the funds I think it could have. He was not aware of the $10,000 bonus before talking with us. Morschhuaser has been a Greene Township resident for 15 years. But $10,000? That’s crazy talk.” said Joe Morschhauser, Greene Township resident. “I’m all for them getting a bonus, $1,000 maybe. Ok, bring it on Team Excuse Makers and Sunshine Pumpers. Transfer portal moves everything faster these days, both good and bad. Unless the 2nd half, at home, against a 1-8 Kansas was a turning point, we need to stop a highly likely coaching failure instead of digging 2 more years of a deepening hole. A new coach with a proven record brings new enthusiasm and a selling point to recruits (and assistant coach candidates.) Every coaching change has risks, but the trend for Traylor is strong, unlike the many red flags of the Sark hire. Dragging this out could really hurt our recruiting and dig the hole much deeper. Sark was a rough gamble, a backup plan after our primary target turned us down, in a bad year to do a much needed coaching change.
Pull the trigger in 2 weeks, bring in a much more proven winner. Might as well do what a smart business would do: Admit a mistake, stem the bleeding, and fix the problem. And one of the worst thing that could happen to us would be for USC/LSU/Florida/NFL/etc to lure Jimbo and/or Lincoln and then aTm or OU be smart enough to grab Traylor. Us paying that big buyout would just be an in-system transfer to a school that the board wants to reach Tier 1 ASAP and be an enrollment safety valve. The UT Board was wise to give Traylor the big raise and (hopefully) stall him from heading to TCU or Baylor (he can do better than Tceh) for a year or two. What exactly has Sark shown to support such patient optimism? Odds are long, though, that a mediocre coach at 2 previous peer programs will somehow turn it all around this time. We'll get a good sense in the next 2 games on if things are turning around. Then again, injuries are a part of the game, you have to adjust. Maybe it's a turning point that they can be built on. Even if it's Kansas, that's still (some) progress. Went from 21 pts down at the half to tied up at the end of regulation. To be fair, Sark and PK finally did adjust at halftime. I can't see teams regressing 4.5 games in a row under him. Not near as tough a schedule as we play, but please don't insult our intelligence by claiming he has better players. Took over a UTSA that had previously gone 6-6, 6-5, 3-9, 4-8 and turned it around to 7-5 and 10-0. Made the title game an average of every 3 years and won it every 5 years at Gilmer HS. Dude wins everywhere he's been HC, at both the HS and CFB level. I'll be a founding member of Team Traylor.
